As we close out November and step into a brand-new month, I want to invite you into something special, a December set apart. A month marked by light, hope, truth, and rededication. A month where we step boldly into the identity God has spoken over us: chosen, royal, holy, and His. A month where we remember that we aren’t just walking toward the light… we are walking in the Light.
December’s theme is Marvelous Light, and this one has been stirring in my heart for weeks.
We live in a world that feels dark, confusing, heavy, and spiritually noisy. But Scripture tells us something powerful: light always has the final word. Darkness can never overcome it. The light of God reveals, rescues, restores, and calls us into deeper purpose. It is the mark of His presence and the sign of who we truly are.
This month, we will explore what it means to:
- Walk in the truth God shines on our path
- See Him as the Light of the World
- Find hope again in the places that feel dim
- Rededicate our hearts and homes during Hanukkah
- Become the light bearers
- He created us to be Shine, not in our own strength, but in His marvelous glory
And beginning the evening of December 14 at sundown, we will step into Hanukkah, the biblical Festival of Dedication. Together, we’ll walk through the meaning, the miracle, the history, as well as the call to rededicate our lives to the One who sustains our oil and keeps our flame burning.
Whether you feel full of light or barely flickering… this month is for you.
The Lord is still shining.
His word is still guiding.
His glory is still rising upon His people.
And you (girl, I do mean you) are called out of darkness and into His marvelous light.
Let’s walk this month out together, one day at a time.
Truth Nuggets
- You were created to shine, not shrink.
- God’s light exposes truth and brings healing.
- Darkness cannot overpower even the smallest flame of faith.
- Light is your identity, not a mood, not a feeling, but a calling.
- Hanukkah reminds us to rededicate our lives and let the oil keep burning.
Prayer
Father, thank You for calling me out of darkness and into Your marvelous light. As I step into this new month, shine Your truth into every part of my heart. Illuminate the places I’ve ignored, the areas I’ve struggled, and the dreams that need awakening. Prepare me for a month of clarity, renewal, and rededication. Help me walk as a child of the light, be bold, stay steady, and remain rooted in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
